Hi, I go by the pseudonym Daze Evander
I write fantasy and sci-fi stories for adults that focus a lot on the main characters and their different perspectives. My books rotate points of view for each chapter, showing a portrait of the current speaker, and then the magic-filled universe that’s unfolding through their eyes. Each title, character standout, and theme are different with each installment based on what part of the story is revealed.
I became an indie author in 2020 when I self-published my first book, Carriers of Eunoia, part one of what eventually became the EUNOIA trilogy. I debuted through KDP for that one and the sequel before re-releasing them globally online with part three under my imprint Faction Realm Press.
The universe began through a vivid dream I had about a specific type of planet, a place where consciousness is heightened, and everyone is forced to overcome the mind’s power. I went on a journey of discovering what that meant while creating the characters and uncovering the power of my own thoughts, which I wasn’t fully aware of before writing my series.
My love for fiction occupies a lot of my heart, mind, and time. It’s something that I’ve always enjoyed and look forward to. It helped me get through challenging times by providing escapism through adventures, teaching lessons, providing new perspectives, also sometimes other life-changing things like helping me understand more about myself or those around me.
Fiction has always meant so much to me. It was always there, especially during some of the most terrible days where I thought my emotions would consume me. Having another episode, game, and chapter was something to look forward to and a light at the end of every narrow tunnel when navigating life.
I spend as much time as possible everyday doing what I love, which is telling stories. I want to share them with others and hope to spread light. The power of fiction has a brightness that emits inspiration and can ignite action.
I ultimately hope to inspire others to share their dreams. Every character in a cast is there for a reason, exactly as they are.
Thank you forever to everyone who has supported me,
- Daze

Was taking a moment to record the moon, birds flew by, and I was reminded again of how much I believe in magic

Daze Evander is a fantasy & sci-fi author who writes the Wielderverse series about otherworldly discoveries in the midst of survival by a group of Magic Wielders. Her titles include the Eunoia trilogy and spin-off Euphrasia that are told through 18+ points of view. She has been writing fiction throughout most of her life so far and has worked with artists and an editor who have amazingly helped bring each book to life. Every adventure has artwork for the leads, portraits at the start of each chapter of who is narrating, and magical creatures. Music, video games, TV shows, movies, and more inspired her to create another fictional universe for adults that has character-focused plots and emotionally driven storylines in an expanding world which was based on a dream she had in 2015. Daze self-publishes her stories globally with the hopes of inspiring and entertaining others.

Writing helped me overcome a lot of my mental health problems, which I’ve shared about, but I haven’t shared much about why I had those in the first place. Through healing and remembering the self-love I always had before others broke it down: I wanted to share why.
Why creating and escapism is always so important to me? Having somewhere to belong. To be free from memories, pain, or judgement - even if sometimes facing similarities in a fictitious place. There is freedom in having somewhere that you can feel safe to just exist.
Throughout most of my life I felt like I never belonged anywhere. Growing up was challenging when others were extremely cliquey, often gave back-handed compliments, criticized the way I did things even when I didn’t do that to them, spread gossip of lies about me, and would gatekeep pre-existing things I wanted to enjoy too.
Being bullied can wear down on someone to the point of destroying their mind. Some of the same people who would emotionally hurt me told me I had low self-esteem, and after healing, I realized that they were the ones who caused it. I always loved myself when growing up. I was loud, random, unpredictable, weird - I enjoyed being me.
Over the years I had to learn the hard way what it truly meant to have a family or friends that really love you after losing my self-love. I realized that being ignored for months at a time, judged, teased for things about me that I can’t change, and navigating relationships like they were competitions shouldn’t have been the case. I realized that I shouldn’t have ever gone through any of that.
When you finally walk away from those who don’t truly love or support you, they may try to act like you’re the problem, they might gaslight you and try to make you believe that you are the villain. Thankfully I kept records of the past so that I have the proof and truth of what really happened. If I didn’t? I may have believed the terrible things they said about who I am as a person in this world.
The dream I had many years ago thankfully came before a lot of the intense mistreatment that I endured. It reminded me of my purpose and that I’m here in this world to bring new stories into it. Writing has always helped remind me of who I am, others have tried - but can never rewrite the truth, and I’m forever grateful for escapism.
I tell stories because it’s where I’ve always belonged. The universe I’ve made is a place where anyone can go, to stop by and leave or come back again, as it will be around forever - even after I’m dead. If you are facing, or have gone through, the types of things that I have: you aren’t alone. I know it can feel like your life is over when you find out that those you love the most truly don’t love you, weaponize your past, project their problems onto you, or make you question reality.
Keep the proof of who you are. Share your truth. Spread your story. That is something they can never take from you. Hopefully in seeing you claim your light? They will finally step out of their darkness and become better people. Lies never win against the truth. You can have peace of mind knowing that you are here for a reason that can’t break.
I don’t share this to make it sound as though I’m perfect, as I will never be, and I have made mistakes too. I share this because every point of view matters and this is mine. This is my truth and story.
There is nothing wrong with standing up for yourself.
Sensitivity doesn’t equal weakness.
You are loved and never alone.

Thankful for everyone who has encouraged me to keep writing.
Thank you for being here, to all who have spent time reading any of my stories to encouraging the next one, and to everyone who helps make this series possible to put into the world.
This universe is very focused on the characters who inhabit it as each chapter includes a first-person viewpoint of a rotating cast with every title. My books begin as fantasy and gradually incorporate sci-fi in the genre with my debut's spin-off as the world unfolds through expanding points of view, locations, and a developing magic system.
Since writing the first draft ten years ago, I often have dreams or ideas of this new reality and have lost track of how many hours I've spent in it. I decided to do everything possible to make it possible for others to visit this place too.
